Memorizing Enochian

Many people often ask how to 'speak' the strange Enochian words. And even more, people really wonder how such crazy sounding words are set to memory for Magikal use. When I first began to attempt to learn the Enochian Calls it was very difficult to run through the rituals without actually resorting to reading the incantations and names of the entities. This discouraged me. So, being a Musician, I realized that it was easy to remember long strings of words once they are set to a melody. I studied classical music and could remember long sections of operas in foreign languages I couldn't understand. In humans the auditory cortex is a powerful component of our neuro-anatomy and essentially dictates much of our overall perceptions, and in turn our behavior.

Anyway, back to the problem of memorizing the Enochian Invocations, I used melodies as mnemonics to memorize the Enochian Calls. Just like with melodies and foreign languages in classical music. Just think how easy it is for a Japanese person to sing along to English music like Iron Maiden, even though they may have no idea as to the meaning of what they are singing.

Ultimately, you really have to have them memorized to establish the sought effect, and this of course goes for all invocations. To help in your ritual activities and performances, you can use musical instruments or just sing. Applying a melody to a script is the KEY to lock the memory.
